Privacy

The short version: we collect an email address and a few answers about your family, we use them to decide what to build and to tell you when pre-orders open, and we do not sell them to anyone.

Who we are

Quillane is a product of KinPost, LLC, a Rhode Island limited liability company. If you want anything on this page explained or acted on, write to caroline@getquillane.com and a person will answer.

What we collect, and when

When you join the list we ask for three things:

• Your email address, so we can tell you when pre-orders open.
• Your ZIP code, so we know roughly where interest is coming from.
• The age of your youngest child, as a range, never a birth date.

After that we ask two optional questions: how many people who love your child live more than two hours away, and whether your child currently receives post. You can close the page without answering and you will still be on the list.

We also record which advertisement or link brought you here, using the tags in the web address, along with the page you landed on and the site you arrived from.

Why we collect it

Two reasons, and no others. To contact you about Quillane, occasionally before launch and when pre-orders open. And to understand who wants this product, so that what gets built is shaped by the people who would use it.

Who else sees it

• Klaviyo stores the list and sends the email on our behalf. Their privacy notice is at klaviyo.com/legal/privacy.
• Netlify hosts this page and, like any web host, keeps ordinary server logs.
• Meta receives a signal that a sign-up happened, so we can tell which advertisements are working. That signal includes a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, which lets Meta match the sign-up to the advertisement you saw. Meta cannot read your actual address from it. This page loads the Meta pixel for that purpose.

We do not sell your information, we do not trade it, and we do not hand it to anyone beyond the three services above.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until Quillane is clearly not happening and the list has no further purpose, whichever comes first. If we abandon the product, we will tell the list and then delete it.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted entirely. Every email we send also carries a one-click unsubscribe, which stops the email but leaves the record; if you want the record gone too, say so and it will be.

Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law. We would rather simply honour them for everyone, so we do.

Children

This page is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we never ask for identifying details about a child, only an age range given by a parent.

Cookies and tracking

The Meta pixel sets cookies to measure advertising. Your browser stores the advertisement tags from the web address for the length of your visit, so a sign-up can be matched to the advertisement that prompted it. There is nothing else.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the list rather than quietly editing the page.
